The South Metro Public Safety Training Facility is a state-of-the-art, multi-use firefighting and law enforcement training center.
We offer leading-edge resources and opportunities to public safety personnel to ensure the highest quality of training possible.
Facilities include classrooms, tactical gym, firearms simulator, two gun ranges, and a live fire training tower, etc. Courses include MN POST Board accredited classes, investigation techniques, train the trainer classes and firearms instruction.

The gun range is open every Friday from 5PM to 9PM, Saturday from 8AM to 2PM and most* Wednesdays from 6PM to 9PM. Cost is $20/lane/45 minutes. Walk-ins only.
Firearms courses offered several times a year.

The South Metro Public Safety Training Facility operates under a joint powers agreement between the Cities of Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina, and the Metropolitan Airports Commission. The facility provides a variety of police and fire training opportunities in a 28,000 square foot, two-building campus on a 3 1/2 acre site. It is conveniently located in the northeast corner of Hwys 169 and 494 in Edina MN. The facilities and courses are primarily for the use of our agencies but we also have a firing range and associated firearm safety courses available to the public as well.
